AMIRR

AMIRR aims at providing a solution allowing to track the activity of mobile fluoroscopy units during interventions. Traget goal is to gain access to vital data concerning the irradiation dosis delivered by the unit in order to increase the protection of the patients and of the caregivers.

Curently those parameters are neither evaluated nor automatically retrieved, due to the lack of adequate technical solutions. These data carry a potentially high scientific value in order to estimate the reference level for radiology.

The project has been funded by the HES-SO, and is directed by the Pr. Francis Verdun (Institute of radiophysics of the CHUV), the Pr. Régis Le Coultre (HESAV) and the Pr. Markus Jaton (HEIG-VD). The methodology used bases itself on the simulation of various intervention cases to extrapolate irradiation data. The project is closed by november 2013, and will be completed by the IRS-3D follow-up, and by a CTI project with the CHUV in 2014.
