Context

Tuberculosis kills 1.5 million people in the world every year. In countries like Tanzania, clinician usually prescribe rifampicin as a first treatment, but people with comorbidities such as HIV or diabetes react differently than others. However, the same dose is given to everyone. Pharmacokinetic models enable to predict drug concentration in blood but require special skills.

The objective of this project is to develop, validate and evaluate a clinical decision support system that will help the clinicians in the field (in Tanzania). Based on the information available about the patient (age, bodyweight, existing treatment, etc.) it will automatically generate a user-friendly report to guide the clinician towards a more personalized dosage.
