The aim of the project was to acquire neuron electrical activity thanks to an Intan chip, to pre-process it on-chip (Zynq FPGA), and to send data to a standard PC. A GUI on the PC allows the researchers to control and monitor the board, and to conduct experiments with in vitro neural tissues in the context of drug discovery and toxicity testing.
